Condition: Cough •  Wind-Heat
Treatment: Disperse wind, clear heat, transform phlegm.
Description: Cough with yellow, thick sputum, choking cough, thirsty, sore throat, fever, headache, aversion to wind, sweating, thin, yellow tongue coating, superficial and rapid pulse, red tongue body, especially tip.
Comment: LU5 and ST40 for yellow sputum.

Point Selection:
BL13 • Fei Shu • On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra (T3).
Lung Shu. Back Shu of the Lung that connects with Front Mu LU1.
Explanation: Clear Lung Heat, regulates Qi, stops the cough.

GV14 • Daz Hui • Below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra (C7).
Great Hammer. Meeting Point on the Governing Vessel with the six yang channels. Sea of Qi Point.
Explanation: Clears Wind Heat from the body.

LI11 • Qu Chi • On the lateral side of the cubital crease when the elbow is close to full flexion.
Pool at the Bend. He Sea Point on the Large Intestine Channel. Earth Point on Metal Meridian.
Explanation: Clears Wind Heat from the body.

LU10 • Yu Ji • Midpoint on the thenar eminence, on the dorsal-palmar surface.
Fish Border. Ying Spring Point on the Lung Channel. Fire Point on Metal Meridian.
Explanation: Clear Lung Heat, regulates Qi, stops the cough.

LU5 • Chi Ze • At the elbow, in the cubital crease, in the depression lateral to biceps brachii tendon.
Cubit Marsh. He Sea Point on the Lung Channel. Water Point on Metal Meridian.
